If you ask me the best part about camping is making S’mores. I am a huge S’mores lover. Recently I was asked to put together favors for a Company Picnic. After throwing around a few ideas we settled on S’mores Kits. These kits make great gift ideas for the S’mores lover in your life.
Here is what I used to put together my kits:
- Metal Tins
I found small metal tins Michaels. You could even use these to make your S’mores by filling with some decorative stones/pebbles and placing in a sterno cans. It is campfire made easy.
- Filler
I used a turquoise bandana. This is something that can be used later for a number of things (a blog post is coming soon on what you can make with bandanas).
- Roasting Skewers
Have you ever been camping in had difficulty finding the perfect skewers sticks? I found mine on Amazon and they are great.
- Marshmallows
If you love Marshmallows you have to check out Wondermade. For my S’mores Kits we used Vanillas but Wondermade offers so many yummy flavors. I just might have to try the Fireball Marshmallow in my coffee…
- Chocolate
If you haven’t heard of Theo Chocolate, they are an incredible Seattle chocolate shop. All their chocolates are USDA organic, Fair Trade, Non-GMO, and Demeter certified. They are passionate about economic, environmental, and nutritional responsibility, as well chocolate. For them, “chocolate isn’t just a product, it’s a journey from bean to bar”, and their shop exemplifies this. Located in the Fremont neighborhood of Seattle, they offer tours, hands-on chocolate classes, and special events. And lots of free samples!
- Honey Maid Graham Crakers
I wrapped a box of Honey Maid Graham Cracker in Kraft paper and attached a little calligraphy tag.
August 10th is National S’mores Day. I hope you and your family can enjoy some finger licking S’mores!
