Have you seen the new Wonder Woman movie yet? I grew up watching the Wonder Woman television series so I couldn’t wait to see the movie. And it did not disappoint. I have a feeling that Wonder Woman is going to be a popular costume this Halloween. Last year my daughter was invited to Super Hero party where you were instructed to dress as a Super Hero. I dug through our dress-up bin and could not find anything so with a quick trip to Joann’s and a few things my daughter had in her closet, I was able to put one together. Here are the easy how to instructions:
Supplies:
Red Tank Top
Blue Tutu
Gold Sequin Elastic
Silver and Gold Foam Sticky Back Sheets
Fabric Glue
Gold shiny fabric
2 inches of elastic
Gold cord
Star Template
Red Fabric Paint
Directions:
Trace the Wonder Woman template onto the Gold Foam Sticky Back Sheet. Cut it out and stick it onto the Red Tank Top. To secure further you could use fabric glue but my daughter was so anxious to try it on we just stuck it for now.
Trace stars onto the Silver Foam Sticky Back Sheet. Cut them out and stick them onto Blue Tutu.
Use fabric glue to attach gold sequin elastic around the waist of Blue Tutu.
Measure your child’s head for head band. Cut 2 inch strips a little shorter than the measurement. This is where you will be adding the 2 inches of elastic to allow for that. Sew together the strips and elastic. Trace a red star onto headband. Paint with red fabric paint.
And then if your child is like mine, they will love running around with their lasso of truth being their own Wonder Woman.
