My daughter is absolutely obsessed with My Little Pony. So, throwing a My Little Pony themed party for her sixth birthday was an easy choice! Between the adorable ponies, cheerful colors and whimsical accessories, I’m pretty sure I had just as much fun putting the party together as the kids did at the actual event. If your little one loves My Little Pony as much as mine does, then here are some easy ideas to create a party she’ll always remember.
Make Cutie Mark Tutus
These frilly tutus will turn your guests into magical ponies that are ready for an adventure! I found my cutie mark patches on Etsy and just sewed them on to a tutu for each of my daughter’s friends. Then, I held a scavenger hunt for the girls to find their cutie mark. Once they did, I gave them their tutus as a prize. To complete the outfit, I gave them all a matching unicorn headband to wear. If you do this one, make sure your camera is ready because all my guests were too, too cute!
Create Pony Art
A craft table at your party will keep those little hands busy, and give your guests something special to take home. I gave my guests each a small canvas and some paint so they could design their own cutie mark. Then, I handed out one of these 5-inch My Little Ponies to each of the kids for them to paint, too.
Play Some Games
My Little Pony party games are also easy to make. I printed out some My Little Pony BINGO cards and made a Pin the Tail on Fluttershy board. Use wrapping curls for a super, pretty tail! I also took a plain unicorn piñata and used fairy wings and crepe paper to turn it into a Celestia pony.
I have to say that my pony party turned out to be a success, and my daughter still raves about her favorite part, which was the cake. That was probably the simplest thing to make since it was a rainbow cake with a fondant Princess Celestia on top. I hope my ideas have given you some inspiration for throwing your favorite little one a festive My Little Pony party that will make their birthday extra special!
