It is that time of year when we start thinking about planting our garden. I love being able to go out there pick fresh carrots, snap peas and cherry tomatoes. I also love the look of a full garden.
A fun way to get kids involved is to use ice cream cones as seed starter containers. They are so adorable and you can just plop them into the garden and the cone biodegrades. They work best if you cut the 1/2 of the cone off before planting.
To make these just grab your ice cream cones, some good quality potting soil and your seeds.
Simply fill your cone with soil, press the seed in and cover.
In a few weeks you should have seedling which you can plant in your garden.
Happy Planting!
