Happy October! It is time to start thinking about Halloween. And Halloween isn’t just for kids. I still love grown up costume parties but I also enjoy small gatherings of friends to share food and spirits. This year I thought it would be fun to have a Halloween dinner and drinks for a couple close friends.
For the table setting I used mini pumpkins spray painted turquoise with name tags.
Juniper Flowers helped me create black floral hoops which I covered in faux spider webs.
For the tables I created small flower arrangements in fall colors.
I also made a table floral arrangement out of a pumpkin which I painted turquoise, scooped out the pumpkin seeds, dropped in a vase and filled with flowers.
I kept the food simple with cheese and fruit on a slate tray.
We also had a green salad with homemade bat toppers.
These are so easy to make and your kids can even help you get ready by cutting out the bats.
Recently I found this fun black and white pasta and served it with some sautéed pumpkin squash and olive oil.
For dessert I made chocolate mummy cakes.
The bar was set up on a side table with a couple fun cocktail options along with wine, beer and hard cider.
It is always fun to add some dry ice to containers with food coloring to add the Halloween vibe.
For parting treats I handed out little mini Moscoto bottles with trick or treat tags created by Lauren at CreatifDesigns4You.
Cheers to a Happy Halloween!
