St. Patrick’s Day has always been one of my favorite holidays. I loved celebrating the day with fun foods and crafts to make it a special day for my family. Traditions are important to me and I hope that one day, my daughter will look back and remember all the fun we had celebrating holidays.
FUN WITH LEPRECHAUNS: OUR ST. PATRICK ’ S DAY
To begin the day, we made leprechaun pancakes. The cute little guys were decorated with mandarin oranges, green grapes, mini marshmallows, and chocolate chip eyes. The leprechauns were so fun to make and were the perfect breakfast.
Our daily craft was a lot of fun, too, and of course it was St. Patrick’s Day related. I found a cute leprechaun online and printed it out. Then, my daughter colored it in and we attached it to a plastic planter. After that, we added the dirt and some fast growing grass seed. I love how it turned out!
For the day’s final meal, we had one of my favorite dinners, corned beef. I also made celtic knot bread to go with it. Delicious and the perfect way to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day.
After dinner, we created leprechaun cupcakes. The cupcake made the leprechaun’s face, while a green ice cream cone made his hat. To make his face, we used some of the miniature chocolate chips left over from our breakfast and some orange round candies. They really turned out cute, almost too cute to eat.
